Effectively cover your Obsession both at star parties and in storage. This white, 400 denier, polyurethane coated nylon fabric will reflect the sun, resists dust and moisture and is long-lasting. Our cover allows positioning in the horizontal when not being used so that high winds won't knock them over. It has a draw cord at the bottom to give a snug fit around the bottom. A sturdy 1" nylon strap is provided to attach a weight to the top end, keeping the wind from standing the scope up or turning it into a cosmic weathervane. The water and dust resistant polyurethane inner coating rounds out a complete protection package for extended observing sessions in the bush. The cover exterior is sprayed with a water repellant to add further protection from the elements. This unique combination offers protection from the elements while still having breathability, a must when covering a wet, dewed telescope. The Newtonian cover comes with a storage bag and secondary mirror cover, both with draw pulls. Worth every penny in strength, longevity and protection. The AstroSystems cover is not intended for continuous outdoor exposure. To retain the maximum water repellency, it is recommended you respray the cover once a year with silicone water repellant. A 12 oz. aerosol can will spray a 18" N cover twice. Available at hardware or discount stores for under $5. We use the brand "Silicone Water-guard", brown can with orange top made by Atsco products.

The Cooling Fan Power Supply can be used with any 12V dc cooling fan(s). The power control will operate the fan(s) with an on/off switch, charge the batteries with 110V ac (household) or 12 V dc (auto) and indicate that the batteries are charging with an LED indicator. Complete with control panel and battery mounting hardware. The system uses two 6V batteries wired in series to obtain 12V. The 3 amp hour batteries have plenty of capacity to operate 2 fans for 2-3 days and Digital Setting Circles before recharging. A higher capacity 7 Ahr battery is available for more than 2 fans or to supply other devices such as digital setting circles, dew removal or illuminated finders. It is recommended that the total power needs in amps be 25%-50% of the battery rating.
The UC panel and batteries mount on the mirror cell frame. There is a second switch for power for the Dew Guard or Digital setting circles. Optional plug for the Argo Navis can be wired in to the second switch (state length needed).

This 300 denier sealed nylon case will protect your upper cage while the telescope is being stored or transported. They are now round and have a top flap that folds inside to completely seal your cage plus a drawstring and cord lock.

The AstroSystems transport cover is made to protect your telescope while disassembled in the field or while being transported. The heavy duty shell is a PVC coated Nylon designed to repel dust, dirt and moisture. It is extremely tear and abrasion resistant. The liner is a heavy, 12 oz. Flannel to cushion and protect your investment. The transport case has cut-outs to clear the transport handles so it can be left on while moving. Sturdy attached bungees with hooks fasten each side at the corners. The cover has slots at the bottom corners to clear bottom mounted transport handles so the telescope can be easily moved with the cover in place. Configured for telescopes that have both transport handles parallel to the ground.
